Due to intense, out-of-control homesickness, I will be cutting short my year in Brisbane, Australia! I have only been here for 2 and a half months.

I plan to go back to New Zealand in about six weeks.

So my Australian adventure will come to an end soon. It’s been hot, sticky and at times very weird. There was the time we found maggots in our packet of rice (I learned that flies + 80% humidity = maggots). There was the cockroach racing on Australia day and the flying insects that look like they come from the era of the dinosaurs. (I am British – grew up in the UK so had never seen anything like it!)
